About The Project

A larger than life version of Kong’s signature toy design sits proudly in the new lobby at Kong in Golden, Colorado. The company’s primary line of product is a snowman-like chew toy for dogs. As they continued to grow, they needed to their existing building to make space. We built a new glass entry vestibule, added a second floor, and completed a new storage facility in their warehouse.

About The Project

Cheba Hut is a national chain of restaurants, locally owned in Colorado. Most locations offer full-service bars with local craft beers on tap. These tenant finish restaurant projects start from new core and shell or former restaurant space and are transformed into Cheba Hut’s signature, fast-casual sandwich shop experience complete with custom painted murals. As their trusted general contractor, Snyder Building Construction partners with Cheba Hut during preconstruction to conduct site surveys, identify any existing conditions and gain a complete understanding of long-lead purchases needs that help us contain cost and scheduling impacts. Each fast-casual restaurant tenant finish is approximately 2,500 square feet and includes full front-of-house and back-of-house construction (including walk-in cooler installation, dry storage, new restrooms, floorings, walls, ceilings, kitchen mechanical, counter service millwork, in-house dining, a full-service bar with underground lines feeding 10-12 draft beer taps, and a custom-designed, unique mural wall).

Together, Snyder Building Construction has been a trusted partner to build eight locations from Colorado Springs to Fort Collins.

About The Project

Snyder Building Construction completed its first Teriyaki Madness and formed a new relationship with this franchise client. The 1,300 sq ft fast-casual franchise was going into an existing space which required a full gut and remodel to complete the tenant finish. The scope included efficiency upgrades like new roof top units, new electrical service with LED lighting, new kitchen equipment, and tankless water heaters. The selection of tankless water heaters is a unique specification in the restaurant industry and helped address space constraints as well as efficiency goals.

Current supply chain issues were a challenge throughout the project. Important equipment including the exhaust hood for the grill were delivered weeks late. However, Snyder worked closely with the city of Broomfield, the client, and the subcontractors to complete the project with efficient timing.

“We recently completed our first Teriyaki Madness project with Snyder Building Construction, and it was a great experience. We appreciate the relationships we were able to build throughout the process, and the expertise that Snyder Building brought to the table was very valuable. Despite the challenges of current supply chain issues, Snyder Building worked efficiently with our team and the city to bring our project to completion. We look forward to working with them again in the future.”
