This project for CDPHE involved sterilizing the existing tuberculosis lab before installing new infrastructure and making architectural modifications to accommodate a new autoclave. Along with the necessary MEP upgrades, the project included millwork and other architectural finishes tailored to the lab environment. Careful attention was given to ensure that the work was completed without impacting other CDPHE activities outside the lab.

The Intelsat 10M Antenna 27 project involved several site drainage improvements, as well as a complex structural pad and electrical / communications scope. This new antenna was added to an existing antenna farm, requiring close communication with the client and coordination with existing underground infrastructure to prevent any disruptions or outages to ongoing operations. The antenna pad is 4 feet thick, placed over 8 inches of void form, and supported by five caissons. A key challenge in constructing the 10M dish pad was setting the 8-foot template of 24 bolts, each 4 feet long and 1-1/8 inches thick, in precise alignment with true north and ensuring they were perfectly plumb. Seventeen 2”-4” conduits were installed to interconnect the antenna with the communications building and on-pad controls.

3D Systems is on the forefront of innovation—the company works to get products to market faster by leveraging 3D printing and prototyping. As work volume increased at their Littleton, Colorado location, the company needed to outfit a new lab to house several their new 3D metal printing lab and a place to train staff. For this 3,000 square-foot, tenant improvement project, we provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems infrastructure work for the new lab, as well as cosmetic upgrades for 3D’s training and showroom for potential clients of the new venture.
